Quantum Stuff #2

Quantum Stuff #2

The Universe

Today we will be exploring something different. The universe instead of particles. But there is more to be said than not when it comes to life beyond our oasis: Earth.

Hubble Sphere

Astronomical bodies moving away from us at a speed, equal to or greater than the speed of light, are outside an imaginary boundary called the Hubble Sphere. We can see objects outside the Hubble Sphere as it expands faster than the light emitted can move away. The light emitted moves away until it enters a sub-luminal region of space or enters the Hubble Sphere. The observable universe is larger than the Hubble Sphere and is limited by the Particle Horizon.

The Particle Horizon which is the maximum distance from which particles could have travelled to the observer in the age of the universe.
